Everardo Vanvlimhem

About my name

I'm born Dutch with the name Evert van Vlijmen. Everardo, on the other hand, is the more international version of Evert. And "van Vlijmen" means to "From Vlijmen". Van is from, and Vlijmen is a small city in Brabant, Netherlands. Vlijmen however is rooted in "Vlim Heim" or VlimHem or Vlimen. Vlimhem in most other European languages is pronounced close to the Dutch pronunciation of Vlijmen. So for international purposes, I call myself Everardo Vanvlimhem.

About me

I'm a partial retired IT; Technology and Innovation Engineer. I want to spend the rest of my life to contribute to systems for a better future for humanity. For that, I moved from the busy city area of the Dutch-speaking part of Europe to the North Italian mountains. So I can better focus myself on my development work.

I was born in 1957 in the Amsterdam area. Grow up and studied in the Arnhem area. Worked until 2000 for two USA based multinationals and from 2000 till now am an independent entrepreneur.

My Mission

Help humanity to progress into a next level of human organization without losing to be human and part of the biosphere. I think that understanding how we believe and why we believe is pivotal in this.
